Sunday was spent mostly recovering from Saturday. Finally got my room to a state where I didn't expect piles to topple over at me. Met Nina after her weekend of madness. Much sleep needed. Read almost two plays (Polish Joke and Ancient History by David Ives) which are both very funny.

Monday I removed our Christmas tree and tidied the lounge. Read and marked PCR. Failed to buy a light bulb.

Today I have started sending applications. I've just put my computer playing everything I have on random. It crashed last time I tried that, but now it's quite happy with a 33000 strong playlist. Tonight I shall go to the Finborough to see Patience.

Anyone out there good with languages? What does Conscienter Affirmo translate as and what language is it?
It comes from this picture:
,
which is something I've seen myself do a lot in the recent photographs.

I assert/affirm in good conscience/with full knowledge? I think conscienter is the adverb of the present participle of conscio ("I am conscious of (guilt)").

Yep, that was my first thought too... *dictionaries*

Yes, I've come up with 'I assert that [this thing] is true in full knowledge [of the circumstances]' - sort of, whatever has just been said, I promise that it's true. Which is what you came up with. So the pair of us must be pretty much right ;)

Thank you very much. Now I know how I was saying it, I just need to remember what I was saying.
