I've been neglecting this journal for a long time now, and it seems it will be waiting another couple of weeks before posting properly. I've been living in interesting times and the thought of writing it up, to any degree, has seemed like a chore.

The world is lovely here. A crisp night, too much food and great presents. I'm tucking myself up in the family homestead in Coventry until Monday, when I fly to New York (and boy will my arms be tired). I'll be there 27th through to the 5th when I shall dash back for the epic Wars of the Roses reading in Derbyshire with Catriona. When that is all over, life should return to abnormal. There will be a mass posting. Honest gov. It'll have pictures and everything.

Merry Christmas to all lovely people reading this. If I've missed you in sending my cards round, please go here, print out the page and fold along the lines indicated.

Now, I think it's time for bed.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
