I seem to be playing to my stereotype.

Can it already be halfway through February? I've not yet even done the annual mixtape post.

The jaunt to Glasgow to see Zoey Van Goey was twelvety shades of lovely. I'm seeing them again this Sunday at the slaughtered lamb. Come. They're great. The new album contains all my new favourite songs.

Packages are being sent out but slowly. If you asked for a thing, you'll be getting a thing hopefully before lent kicks in.

And speaking of lent, I've decided that this year I shall be filming forty-seven one-minute manifestos (which I will probably from here on refer to as minifestos although I'm not sure yet). This is thanks to Lucy Ellinson who ran them at Forest Fringe and later Devoted and Disgruntled.

The idea is you are given one minute, no more, no less, to speak on any subject of your choosing. My first was a garbled attempt to spell out my Theory of Quantifiable Happiness and was far too much fun to leave it at that. So for the duration of lent, each day I will post a sixty second film in which I will talk for a minute on a particular subject. Many of these will be my own standard theories and rants and pockets of knowledge, at least one will be a story, but I've not finalised a list yet.

Is there any subject you would like to hear me talk on? Is there anything you would like to know but can't be bothered researching or watching anything more than a minute long? Is there a recipe you'd like me to attempt in one minute? Drop me a line and I'll try and make it happen.

What a fantastic idea! :-D I would like to see:

* An analysis of the musical mash-up

* How to tie a cravate, bowtie and Windsor knot and when it's ok to wear brown shoes

* The life story of your favourite mathematician or physicist

* A rant on 'the British', in the foreign language of your choice

PS Was fab to see you in Glasgow :-)

A brief history of the yam trade.

(A friend of mine spent several years publishing books about yams, but I dare not ask her in case I actually got a full answer!)
