Today I have been mostly working out what I will be doing for the next 46 days. So far I'm giving up booze (this year, mostly because it lowers my productivity and time is increasingly tight), takeaways (too much money, fat and guilt), biting my fingers (already failing). I've taken to listening to an album I don't know every day on my commute. At the moment it's a random choice, but I will take suggestions. The puzzle will appear in another thread, once I've finished building it.

This afternoon I went to the Mountview MT Showcase. Good as the show was, it was infuriating for me because I know the students so well. They're better than that. There are some of those guys that could read the phone book and I'd be enthralled.

Home for a steak dinner. I love this house sometimes.

Todays album was Liquid Skin by Gomez. Beck-like country fusion with basslines that stuck with me for hours.

That's a big ol' list. Give me the top three.

I still haven't listened to those mixtapes, for the same reason I'm listening to all these random albums as a lent thing. I don't get enough time to listen to music so I tend to just listen to what I already know. Shall I put them on the lent list?

I never did say thank-you for the wonderful Christmas hamper. I think hamper is an appropriate word. Many things used, many things waiting til I need them. Thanks so much.
