For reasons which will be obvious to someone, I'm determined to finish this week a mixtape that I started sourcing for two years ago. You might be able to help. The question is: What's your favourite ukulele song?

Kermit the Frog's attempt to sing "Wild Thing" on the ukelele, which is repeatedly interrupted by Animal and his drums.

Not sure that counts, but it's definitely my favorite one. *gryn*

At any rate, if something Kermitty isn't in your list, it darn well should be!

People look at me strangely when they discover I know the words to that. I'm quite fond of Blackpool Rock.

The above comment mentions the Ukelele Orchestra. Have to confirm that they're great and my particular favourite is their cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit.

I've got Secret of Life, which is great. I particularly love their version of leaning on a lamp post.

Could you possibly email me Smells Like Teen Spirit, as I can't find it to buy anywhere? Pretty please?

Aww sweetie, if I had it I would. But I watched/heard it on Jools Holland. However...did you know that they have a concert at Blackheat Halls at the end of February? Less than a half hour walk from my place...

it *has* to be the miss dynamite ukulele orchestra of GB one. But I'm sure you've found that already.

Did you know that there is a Dulwich-based ukulele group? They had flyers up Lordship Lane round xmas
