I have one big tradition for the night of Halloween which is being too busy to fulfil the Halloween plan.

Many moons ago I worked as a volunteer at the Raindance Film Festival. On October 30th, I believe, I was working behind the desk when an American lady came up to put some fliers out for her film. It was the special Halloween screening that I was missing to go to a party. It was the one film in the programme that I was desperate to see and I was going to miss it. I said this to the lady, who was the director (and possibly writer, producer and star) who told me not to worry and passed me a copy of the DVD from her bag.

The film was Gory Gory Hallelujah.

I still haven't watched it because I'm determined to watch it on Halloween night, in the company of friends, preferably in the company of another old mounviewian who likes a good bit of troma, and every year on the night itself I am busy. Last night I rehearsed.

One day, oh yes, one day I will watch this film.

That movie looks like a whole lotta fun. :)

Went to see The Grudge 2 on Saturday, which turned out to be possibly the funniest film I've seen this year barring Ice Age 2. It was hilarious for all the wrong reasons: random milk barfing scenes, burping ghosts and completely over the top acting. I haven't laughed so much in a long time.

Me too. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Christ, it was cold that night.
