When I stepped off the tube last night, a brass band in a posh pub were playing the looney tunes theme, the name of which I really ought to know.

I have many interesting photos. I may well get round to doing something with them all. At some point.

Max has much more interesting photos than me anyway. And his are incredibly sharp. Some of them are of me. Most of those look like Jean-Paul Belmondo. It's the nose.

Andrew Jarvis has impressed me once more with his knowledge of the antique stage. He not only has read Elizabethan Acting (R.L.Joseph, 1950, OUP) but he could quote it from memory and told me what to read next if I liked that (Gurr and Chambers).

The show goes well. I leave for Edinburgh a week on Sunday. Bit apprehensive to tell the truth, but I know it will all be fine.

Insomnia consumes me.

No need to fuss. A fatted calf will be quite sufficient.
