Day one of lent has been generally lovely. Had time for tea in the morning. Made three cranes on the tube to mark day one. Spent my day at work helping students find interesting facts about Shakespeare, some of which I'm not entirely sure about (Much ado about 'n o-thing?). Then this evening to Lowdown at the Albany, where I witnessed the carnage of the Karaoke Circus. Notable acts included Geoffrey McGivern singing Hurt. I'll be singing next time. I also need to spend more time in the Cellar Door.

Album of the day was Final Fantasy - Has A Good Home. I really like this. FE bought it for my birthday last year and I've been failing to listen to it since. 15 tracks of about two minutes each, lots of toe tapping riffs on violins. The vocals seem a little bland and I lost a lot of the lyrics, except for Don't Let Your Cock Do All The Work.

Final Fantasy - Has A Good Home

EDIT: Play of the day was Ryan Craig - Happy Savages. Two disfunctional couples with secrets aplenty break up and recombine and occasionally die. Felt like a chunk out of some larger domestic drama. Piecemeal lovely, as a play dull.

girl parts?

When I did Much Ado at A-level (a decade ago now, ARG!) and we did those A-Level revision day things, some lecturer told us all that Nothing was pronounced Noting, so it was much-ado about noticing things, but also Noting was like Noughting, or 'O'-ing, or sticking stuff in things shaped like an 'o'.

I also remember people saying that when I worked at the Globe, but they might have just been at the same revision class/ looking for a chance to make a dirty joke.

I'm afraid my source is even more unreliable. But I like the story, as I like your use of the phrase girl parts.
