Woke at a sensible hour and had breakfast in a local cafe with LF and the script. Then back to the flat where we ran the show a couple of times. From there to the venue (the Sophiensaele) where, as we were the first in, we sneaked in an hour early. Small square room with one bar hanging at the back and a curtained off dressing room area. Six lights. OK, I pushed them to seven with the mirrorball.

AV projection went completely wrong. The sound from the laptop was awful, which I think was my cables. I'd taken two sets in case one was dodgy, but they both failed. Aside from that, show went well and was totally sold out. Many curtain calls (impressive from an audience that small).

Then to the bar and on to see a Pinter's Old Times in the main space. In German. It was surprisingly good, given I couldn't understand a word of it. In the bar was a wonderful work of art. An oil painting, a barn with a field and a river, had a projection of a woman dancing on it. She would dance across the field and then fade away, reappearing next to the barn, and then in the distance, between the trees.

Finally for dinner at a pizza place with LF and then a taxi home. Slept on the floor, which was surprisingly comfortable.

Didn't have any time to listen to music that wasn't in the show. But I listened to that a lot. Handel, Nina Simone, whale music. All compelling.
